Every July, Belize marks the start of one of its most anticipated culinary seasons: lobster season. As the waters officially reopen for sustainable lobster fishing, seafood lovers from around the world look forward to the vibrant flavors and fresh dishes that define this time of year.

At Akasha Restaurant, located inside Aruna Resort & Villas in San Pedro, we’re celebrating this beloved tradition with a limited-time lobster menu crafted by Chef Carlos Serrano. From July 1st through July 12th, 2025, join us for Lobster Fest Week — a curated dining experience featuring locally sourced Caribbean lobster.

Why Lobster Season Matters in Belize

Lobster fishing in Belize is strictly regulated to ensure sustainability and preserve the species for future generations. The season officially opens on July 1st and runs until February 28th. During this period, local fishermen bring in some of the freshest spiny lobster you’ll find anywhere in the Caribbean.
